MUCC haben schon in der Schule zusammen Musik gemacht. Ihr Bandname klingt im Japanischen wie die Zahl 69. Diese spielt bei ihnen auch eine große Rolle. Ihr letztes Album war z.B. 69 Minuten lang. Ihr Sound ist größtenteils Metal mit düsteren Texten. 2006 kommt ihre neues Album "Houyoku" auch in deutsche Läden (27. Januar). Ebenso wie D'espairsRay, kagerou und weitere Visual Kei Bands wollen sie auch in Europa durchstarten. Seit 1997 veröffentlichten sie vier Alben.
